Debbie Barger Jordan Leavy


Debbie Barger Jordan Leavy, 68, didn't get to ring the cancer bell, but she rang the bell to heaven on Saturday, May 24, 2025. She passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Butler on March 31, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Shirley A. McElhattan Barger.

Debbie was a 1975 graduate of the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School. She was the owner-operator of Rainbow Christian Preschool in West Freedom for many years.

She had a passion for reading and writing. Attending Trinity Point Church of God in Clarion brought her great joy. She loved shopping and had a unique hobby of collecting Amazon boxes. Hosting parties, watching Hallmark movies, and rearranging furniture were also among her favorite activities. In addition, she became a snowbird, spending her winters in Florida. Traveling was another one of her passions, with Hawaii, Alaska, St. Martin, and Disney World being among her favorite destinations. She loved spending time with her girls and cherished becoming a grandmother. Debbie had a beautiful smile that could light up any room.

She is survived by her Husband, Richard Leavy, whom she married on October 14, 2022. Two daughters: Kelly (Doug) Barrett and Courtney Andryka. Her Grandchildren: Carter, Jordyn, Jackson, Kendall and Cole. A sister: Pam (Butch) Gruver. Brother: Don (Alesia) Barger. Her nieces and nephews, with whom she has a special bond.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, David Jordan, and son-in-law, Aaron Andryka.

Friends and family will be received at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker (201 S. Wayne) on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 6 to 8 pm, and Thursday from 1-3 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Also, on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Trinity Point Church of God in Clarion, Pa. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Church with Pastor Bruce Wilson Officiating.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in her honor may be made to Trinity Point Church of God in Clarion or the VNA of Venango County Hospice.
