Deborah Lou Bobbert

Deborah Lou Bobbert, 68, unexpectedly passed away at home with her mother in Dutch Hill on August 2, 2026, following a period of declining health.

Born September 11, 1957, at Butler Hospital, she was the daughter of Thomas (TC) and Kathryn (Kay) Caldwell of Dutch Hill.

She spent her first two years in Arizona and California, where her father was stationed with the Air Force. She spent the remainder of her years building her life and family in western Pennsylvania.

A 1975 graduate of A-C Valley High School, Deb was a notably hard worker. She pursued many passions over the years, including driving a bus for A-C Valley School District, volunteering as an EMT for the Perry Township Ambulance Service, working at Clarion Hospital and the drum factory, housekeeping, along with waitressing and cooking at various restaurants, including Fat Chaps of Emlenton. A graduate of the Pittsburgh Culinary Institute, Deb enjoyed planning events for family and friends and truly loved teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook and bake. Of all of the jobs she held over the years, nothing compared to being a "gran."

Debbie had many nicknames, including Gert, Petunia, McGruber, Madame McGeyver, and Gran, which was her favorite.

Deb enjoyed the outdoors, true-crime TV, looking at the stars, watching fireworks, attending concerts, playing games on her phone, crossword puzzles, and counted cross-stitch, often completing difficult, large-scale projects as gifts for family members. She loved playing games of any kind with the family she cherished, proudly inventing her own dice game, Deb-a-Dice, that she had dreams of mass-producing.

Deb is survived by her mother Kay Caldwell, siblings Dale (Lisa) Caldwell of Butler, her beloved "see-store" Lynne (Greg) Sleppy of Tylersburg, Scott (Jacqui) Caldwell of Parker, seperated husband Perry Bobbert of West Monterey and their 4 children, Angela (Todd) McMasters of Chicora, Candi (Jason) Myers of Parker, Jason (Sara) Bobbert of West Monterey, and Ben (Jessica) Bobbert of Emlenton, long time companion Jeff (Lunch) Cotherman and their dog Hazel, beloved nieces and nephews, and an elongated list of loved ones including "the boys" and "the fam." Her 8 grandchildren will greatly miss her: Chloe & Ella Myers; Tucker & Juniper Bobbert; Matalyn & Dominic Bobbert; Gavin & Saige Reesman.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, TC, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Friends and family were invited to show their respects at Buzard Funeral Home in Parker, PA, on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 5-7 pm, with a Celebration of Life that followed. The interment of her ashes will take place at West Freedom Cemetery on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 11 am.
