Eileen Anne (Bonini) Master, 72, of Parker passed away Monday morning, May 8, 2023, at Parker Personal Care Home following complications due to diabetes.
Eileen was born in Philadelphia on September 3, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Franzis Bonini.
A 1968 graduate of Springfield (Delaware Co., Pa.) High School, she earned Her B.S. in secondary education (English major) from Kutztown Univ. of Pa., graduating with honors. In 1975, she graduated from Rowan University - Glassboro, N.J. with a Masters in English. She additionally earned a Masters in English, All But Dissertation - ABD, from Indiana Univ. of Pa.
Eileen then taught English at Franklinville, NJ, English, writing, and literature at Rowan Univ., and English and reading at Camden Co. College in Blackwood, NJ.
For a period of time, she graded essays for Educational Testing Services in Princeton, NJ.
Later, she was a substitute teacher in Indiana, Pa., Grove City, Pa., and finally at Lakeview School District in Stoneboro, Pa.
Eileen was a member of the American Assn. of University Women, and had served as faculty advisor to Concert Dance at IUP and advisor to Kappa Sigma National Fraternity at Rowan University. She was an avid reader and a member of many book clubs wherever she resided.
Surviving are her husband Edward Master of Parker; two sisters-in-law and husbands: Shari (Larry) McCall and Cynthia (Brad) Cullen-Rapp.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home of Parker is assisting the family with arrangements at this time.
