Robert John Edwards, 81, of Parker, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 10, 2025.

Born in Parker on May 5, 1944, he was the son of the late Arthur and Matilda Murray.

After graduating from Allegheny Clarion-Valley High School, Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1968, with his final assignment aboard the USS Newport News, a Des Moines-class heavy cruiser. Following his military service, he worked at the former Quaker State oil refinery in Emlenton until its closing. He then enjoyed a long career as a commercial truck driver, retiring from MHF in Zelienople. Bob was a devoted member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Emlenton.

Bob had a passion for woodworking, crafting beautiful cabinets and cedar chests for his family. A devoted Steelers and Pirates fan, he took great joy in watching games and relaxing with his favorite westerns on TV. Bob cherished spending time at camp and being surrounded by his loved ones at family gatherings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Jean Nunamaker Edwards; his daughters, Sherry Overly of Boyers, Bobbie Bish of New Kensington, and Kathy Edwards of Knox; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Ella Mae; his nephew, Don Edwards; and his son-in-law, Doug Overly.
