Gary K. Gaiser, 84, of Chicora, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home late Saturday evening, November 8, 2025.
Gary was born in Craigsville, Armstrong County, on September 9, 1941. He was the son of the late Everett K. and Catherine “Louise” Borden Gaiser. He was a 1959 graduate of Worthington West Franklin High School. Gary was a member of the Kaylor United Methodist Church. He enjoyed searching family genealogy on Ancestry.com, hunting, elk watching in Benezette, and watching “Chicago PD” and “Chicago Fire”. In his earlier years, Gary was employed as a sheriff’s deputy in Ellijay, GA, and was later employed as a sales associate in paint and hardware at Walmart in Butler. Gary was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era and was a member of American Legion Post # 642 in Chicora.
He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Gaiser, whom he married at the Kaylor United Methodist Church on May 17, 2003. Surviving are three sons, Michael K. Gaiser, Eric Bruce Gaiser, and Gerhard K. Gaiser, all of Erie; two daughters, Corina M. McAndrew, of Lafayette, IN, and Katherine V. Young of Mesa, AZ; a sister, Donna C. Hooks, of Ford City, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His step-children survive, Lisa Rodgers of Butler; Craig Cunningham, of Snellville, GA, and Lori Nagle of Chicora; his step-grandchildren, Brandon Rodgers and Cassandra, Ashley, Cody, Tia, and Tasha Nagle; a step-great-grandson, Mario Rodgers, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Gaiser, and a brother-in-law, Vaughn Hooks.
Friends will be received from 2-4 pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Chicora United Methodist Church, 203 Central Ave. Chicora. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm with the Rev. Deborah Adams, pastor of the Kaylor United Methodist Church, officiating. Military Honors accorded by members of the Chicora and Brady’s Bend American Legion Posts will be held at 1:45 pm from the Church. The interment will be in Lawnhaven Burial Estates in Worthington.
