GAYLA  M. PAGE, 65, of Foxburg, Pa., passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon, September 20, 2025, at her residence, of natural causes.

She was born on March 30, 1960, to the late James G. and Cleda Greenawalt Page.

Graduating from Allegheny-Clarion Valley School in 1979, she was employed much of her adult life as a cook in food service. Gayla was employed in earlier years at the former Parker Depot and the former Black Forest Restaurant in Parker. At the time of her passing, she was a well-known employee of the Foxburg Pizza Shop.

Protestant by faith, Gayla was a community-oriented individual willing to help anyone in need. While she assisted in caring for individuals and couples unable to live alone, Gayla was willing to show her love of pets by “pet sitting” for locals in need of animal care.

She was a social member of VFW Post 7073 of Parker, Knox American Legion and Knox Rod and Gun Club, Foxburg Library, and a twenty-plus-year member of Moose Lodge 962 of Chicora.

Gayla was an avid sports enthusiast, including bowling to football, with the Pittsburgh Steelers being dear to her and knowing the team by name and all their stats as players. With all her employment and service to others, she still found time to be a member of the Tri-County Bowling Team.

She is survived by her two sisters: Gila Craig of Emlenton and Beth Courson of Parker, one brother, Jeffery (Lisa) Page of Emlenton, one niece, and four nephews.

In addition to parents, she was preceded by her brother, Barry “BJ” Page, and by the late Earl Hughes, Jr., to whom she was engaged.

Visitation for Gayla will be from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, Sept. 25. At the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker. (201 Wayne Ave.) A Funeral Service will follow at 7:15 PM at the Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at the St. Petersburg Cemetery on Friday morning, September 26, 2025.
