Helen J. Claypoole, 71, of Parker, Perry Twp., Armstrong Co., received her eternal rest from the Lord Thursday evening, September 21, 2023, at Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Helen was born in Butler on October 20, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Albert Boyle.
She attended school in Butler. Helen was a long-time member of the Queenstown United Methodist Church. Helen was a devoted homemaker and a loving and caring mother who raised two generations of kids.
Helen is survived by her husband, Richard J. “Dick” Claypoole, whom she married in Chicora on November 22, 1969. Also surviving is a son, Richard J. “Rich” Claypoole, II of Chicora; a daughter, Lisa A. McBride of Butler; two adopted children, James Daniel Claypoole of Minnesota and Karah N. Claypoole of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Justin Dennis of Brady’s Bend, Connor Claypoole of Chicora, Matthew McBride of Butler, and Haley Claypoole of Karns City; two great-grandchildren, Elliott and Megyn Dennis; three brothers, Donald Boyle of Butler, Raymond Boyle and his wife, Margaret, of Rattigan, and Larry Boyle and his wife, Victoria, of Fenelton, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a number of siblings, a grandchild, and a niece.
