Henry Burton Card, Jr.,76, of Emlenton, passed away on January 18, 2024.
Henry was born in Franklin on March 25, 1947. He was the son of the late Henry B. Card Sr. and Florence Fulmer Card.
Henry was a graduate of A-C Valley High School. He was a U.S Army veteran, having served two years in the Vietnam. He retired from the Army following 13 years of service. Henry also worked as a car detailer for 26 years. He made many friends while living in Seymour, CT. After retirement, he moved back home to Emlenton in 2019.
Henry was a lifetime member in the DAV and VFW and was a junior Vice in Seymour, and Treasurer in VFW in Cherry Valley.
Henry is survived by his girlfriend of 33 years, Jennifer Roberts; two daughters, Lena Card McCarty of Vermont and Carrie Bulluss of Bristol, CT; a son, Henry B. Card III of Vermont; two stepchildren, Sharon Roberts of Bristol, CT and Sandra Faircloth of Emlenton; two grandchildren and three great-grand-children;.four brothers, Paul Card (Donna) , Anson Card (Cindy) , and Roy Card, all of Emlenton, and James Card (Kathy) of Bristol, CT; four sisters, Tena (Bob) of Corsica, and Florence of Oil City, Reanie (Ron) of Ohio, and Gertrude of Minnesota.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Sonny, and Charles; a sister, Gladys, and a nephew, Leland
He loved his dogs, Jelly Bean, Molly and his buddy, pal, and friend, Maxiumis.
A graveside service will be held on July 26, 2024 at 3 p.m. at the Scrubgrass Church Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S Honor Guard.
