Looking for a great way to help support our military men and women? Save the date November 6, 2022. Come help support Hero’s Angels, a local non-profit agency that has been supporting our troops at home and abroad.
On November 6th, Hero’s Angels will host their 6th annual” Holiday for Heroes” fundraiser at the Petrolia VFD Social Hall (200 Argyle Street) from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A POW/MIA presentation will be held at 11:00 am to kick off the fundraiser.
The event will feature a stuffed chicken breast dinner, American Auction, 50/50 raffles, reverse raffles, a bake sale and entertainment by Gary Burk III from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The delicious dinner includes stuffed chicken breast with mashed potatoes, corn, roll & butter for $14.00. The dinner is available for take-out. The first 100 registered veterans will receive a free meal and event t-shirt and more (while supplies last). There will also be a free drawing entry for all veterans in attendance (Proof of service is required to enter).
A door prize drawing will be held every hour from 12 pm to 5 pm for a chance to win $20.00. Veterans who are pulled for the door prize drawing from 12 pm to 5 pm will receive $50.00. Hourly winners must be present at the time of the drawing to claim the prize.
Bring the whole family and enjoy the day. Special appearances by Santa and the Grinch from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, along with a free balloon artist and air brush tattoos.
Funds raised will provide care packages for deployed troops and local veterans.
