Hutchinson to Join Rally Opposing Plan to Toll PA Interstate Bridges
HARRISBURG – Sen. Scott Hutchinson (R-21) will join fellow lawmakers and the No P3 Bridge Tolls Coalition to rally opposition to the Wolf administration’s plan to toll nine interstate bridges in Pennsylvania, including the I-80 Canoe Creek Bridges in Clarion County.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation used the Public-Private Partnership (P3) process to target interstate bridges for tolling without legislative approval. Commonwealth Court has temporarily halted the bridge tolling plan with a preliminary injunction.
The rally will take place Wednesday, June 8 at 10 a.m. on the front steps of the state Capitol in Harrisburg. The event is open to the public.
The event will also be streamed live at SenatorScottHutchinson.com and Facebook.com/SenatorScottHutchinson.
