There’s something new to check out at the Franklin Public Library! The Arc of Clarion and Venango Counties Inc. has opened its latest Inclusion Library—a special space designed to bring people together and celebrate community, diversity, and fun.

The Franklin location is the fourth of its kind in our region, joining the Inclusion Libraries already available at the Oil City Library, Clarion Free Library, and Foxburg Free Library. The Arc first introduced the idea back in 2022, and it’s been growing ever since.

So, what’s an Inclusion Library? Instead of books, this section is stocked with things you can use to play, move, and connect—like outdoor recreation equipment, sports gear, games, and entertainment. It’s all about making sure everyone, of all abilities, has the chance to enjoy activities that bring people together.

In the photo, Chloe Boden, The Arc’s Director of Community Programs, joined Amanda Barker, Branch Manager of Franklin and Cooperstown Library, to mark this exciting step forward.

With Franklin now on the list, more families and neighbors will have access to tools that make getting active and spending time together easier and more inclusive. Stop by and see what’s inside—you might just find something fun to take home!
