Joseph William “Joe” Futcher, 61, of Bear Lake, Warren County, formerly of Bruin, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at UPMC Hamot in Erie surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 5, 1964, in Butler, he was the son of the late Harry Ralph and Willivene Helen McCall Futcher.
Joe was raised in Bruin alongside his brother and best friend, Tracy Ralph Futcher; the two of them inseparable from the start. Joe graduated from Karns City Area High School in 1983, where he was a talented athlete in both football and basketball and earned the nickname “Clutch” among his teammates because he was the guy you wanted with the ball in his hands. He went on to Clarion University as an HR major, yet Joe chose to follow his heart and his work ethic instead of a career of rules and regulations. He spent his career climbing the ranks of organization after organization before finally building something of his own, Corry Fabrication, founded to take care of his family and the team he built around him, whose lives he was determined to improve.
Outside of work, Joe was an avid golfer, a hunter, and a passionate Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan with a loud personality. But nothing came close to his real passion: his four daughters and his seven beloved grandchildren, a family he lovingly built with Ronda Botz Futcher that landed them in Knoxville, TN. Spending time with his brother Tracy and watching his kids and grandchildren grow and prosper were his passions.
Joe is survived by Ronda Botz Futcher, mother of his four daughters; his daughters, Marisa Jo McCulloch (David) of Knoxville, TN, Maraya Hope Priest (Lincoln) of Franklin, TN, and Maddee Ann Tangeman (Hunter) of Havertown, PA; his brother, Tracy R. Futcher (Tammie) of Karns City, PA; his sister, Debra K. Davis (Larry) of Wake Forest, NC; and his seven grandchildren, Kennadee McCulloch, Blakelee McCulloch, Witten McCulloch, Parker Priest, McCall Priest, Ellory Priest, and Bennett Priest; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Madison Brook Futcher; his brother, Robert G. Downs; and his sister, Pamela L. Parks.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 26. A memorial service will follow from the funeral home at 7 p.m. with Pastor Paul DeBacco of the Crisswell Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be with his daughter, Madison, at Perryville Cemetery, Perry Twp., Clarion Co.
Memorial contributions in Joseph’s memory may be made to The Karns City Area High School Baseball, Basketball or Football Boosters, c/o Karns City Area High School, 1446 Kittanning Pike, Karns City, PA 16041.
