The Knox Lions Student of the Month for Sept. is Alma Katherine Swartzentruber.
Alma is a senior at Keystone High School. Alma is a member of the National Honor Society and currently stands as the salutatorian of her class and has earned all A’s throughout her high school career. She is currently taking AP English, Biology 2 and is in her 3rd year of Spanish. Alma is also president of the archery club.
Alma enjoys reading, drawing, writing and cooking. She hopes to publish her own writing someday. Some of Alma]’s many interests include anything from playing the guitar to crocheting.
Alma credits her family and friends for giving her the guidance and motivation to succeed. She especially thanks her parents for their sacrifices which has given her and her siblings the first generation to attend college in her family.
Alma’s plans are to attend PennWest Clarion Univeristy and major in Biology or Medical Imaging Science.
