Lisa M. Thompson


Lisa M. Thompson, 56, of Parker, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at her residence surrounded by her loving family following many years of illness that she courageously fought.

Born in Butler, Pa., on June 16, 1967, she was the daughter of the late John Ganoe and Bonnie Wike Ganoe Pennington.

She graduated from Allegheny-Clarion Valley School in 1985. While living in Alaska, she earned her real estate and property management licenses.

Lisa was later employed by the former Fuchs Lubricating Co. of Emlenton, where she served as general office manager for nearly twelve years.

She was a member of the Memorial Church of our Father-Episcopal at Foxburg.

A truly gifted individual, Lisa's artistic talent was a source of inspiration and admiration. Her painting, crafting, and drawing skills were a testament to her creativity and passion.

Surviving are her husband, Zane Thompson, whom she married June 25, 1988, and they would have celebrated their thirty-sixth anniversary this month;  two daughters: Amanda (Tiffany) Corle of Rimersburg and Lydia Thompson of Parker;  two grandchildren: Everett Kaufman and Ember Turk;  step-mother: Avis Ganoe; two sisters: Laura Pennington of Parker and Holly (Chris) Jordan of Ohio; brothers Andy (Natalie) and Dan (Michelle) Ganoe; Sister-in-law Joyce Pennington. Her lifelong best friend Jeannette Amsler, her loving aunts, uncles, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So. Wayne Ave., Parker. The Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, June 16, 2024, (her birthday) at the funeral home.
