Margie Marie Adams, 72, of St. Petersburg, passed away in the comfort of her home on Thursday afternoon, March 5, 2026, with loved ones and her puppy “Lucky” by her side, following a lengthy battle of declining health.
Margie was born in Franklin on August 26, 1953, to Santo C. Corso and Shyrlee L. Sheffer.
She was raised in Knox and was a 1972 graduate of Keystone High School. Margie was a 1999 graduate of Clarion University, where she earned a degree as an occupational therapy assistant. She worked with several kids one-on-one over the years, and one patient, Ricky, held a special place in her heart. Later, Margie drove school vans in the Emlenton area before becoming disabled.
Margie married the love of her life, Robert C. “Bob” Adams, on December 8, 1988. Margie is now reunited with her husband, who preceded her in death on December 29, 2022.
Margie is survived by two children from her previous marriages, Shelly (McCall) Kaltenbach and James Best.
Margie was affectionately “gram” to her grandchildren: Tyler and Isabelle Best, and was especially close to her granddaughter Jennifer (Larry) Reichard. Although Margie has suffered from dementia for several years, she never seemed to forget her great-grandchildren, Freyja and Lilyth Reichard, who always brought a warm smile to her face.
In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren she is additionally survived by her very beloved sister Kathleen (Mark) Baker, her brother LT Corso, a special niece Sarah (Pete) Curry, nephews Matt Baker, and Clint (Leah) Baker, as well as many great nephews and nieces and her two caretakers and true friends Rida and Janie.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of St. Petersburg.
A private ceremony will be held to join and spread Margie and Robert’s ashes per their wishes.
