Mason Martin to Return to Diehl Stadium - “I BELIEVE - 7/20” Public Invited

Updated: 4 hours ago

We all carry with us our daily struggles. For some, it might be depression, anxiety, addiction, etc. We can all use a little help. How do you cope? Who do you turn to when life seems to just get the best of you? It is a rhetorical question many of us ask on a daily basis. Do you believe there is hope?

“I Believe, do you? The power and presence of God can be an uplifting experience.

You can accomplish a lot in eight hundred and forty days, just ask Denny Martin.

On September 1, 2023, his son, Mason, a quarterback for the Karns City Gremlin football team, laid motionless on the turf at Diehl Stadium due to an unforeseen collapsed lung and brain bleed. The outpouring of support in the days to follow reached national levels, and the local community support was unmatched.

Mason would spend the next nine months fighting for his life and in rehab. What he once did involuntarily, he would have to relearn again. Learning how to read, write, and speak, as well as regaining mobility. He would finally make it home in June of 2024.

In a show of appreciation to the community, Denny Martin will speak to the public about his faith-based journey with his son, Mason. As you drive around the Karns City communities, “I Believe – 7/20” signs mark this upcoming event. The signs are an invitation to the public to come hear the miracles, and see how God does work within our lives, and especially how he has touched the life of Mason Martin.

“I BELIEVE” is a community event being hosted by representatives from K.C. High School, The Karns City High School Believers in Christ Club, local churches, and other caring members of the community.

Come hear the inspiring stories and miracles that have touched Mason’s life. Just maybe they will touch yours, too.

The committee of “I Believe” would like to invite the public to hear the inspiring story of Mason Martin as told by his father, Denny Martin. Denny will give a firsthand testament about the power of faith and this remarkable journey to recovery.

The event will take place on Sunday, July 20th, at Diehl Stadium at Karns City High School. Gates will open at 6 pm and is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM. The event will mark the first time Mason and his father have been back to the field since the accident.

Seating on the bleachers is limited, but you are welcome to bring a lawn chair or a blanket.

The event will end with the attendees praying for the second time on that exact field, asking for another miracle in Mason Martin’s life. Denny believes that Mason will one day be fully healed and recovered. Others Believe. What do You Believe?”

Anyone who would like to help with the costs of this event can send donations to Trinity Church, 887 State Route 68, East Brady, Pa. 16028. Place in the memo line “I Believe.” Any extra funds that go beyond the cost of the event will be donated to the Stacy Martin Scholarship Award. This is an annual award given to a high school senior in honor of Mason’s mom, who passed away from cancer.

Come listen, pray, and be a part of “I Believe”. Don’t we all need the power to “Believe” in something!
