Perry Township Fall Festival Enjoyed by Many

ree

Fall arrived in style on September 19th in West Freedom with the annual Perry Township Fall Fest, and this year’s event had something for everyone!

A total of 24 food and craft vendors participated, offering a wide array of handmade goods, tasty treats, and local treasures. Among the vendors were Belka Industries, Buzz Swank, Cindi’s Creations, Concord Presbyterian Church, Crafting House, Chrisdough, Cristo Cooking, Doggie Duds, Everything That Glitters, Fleck Crafts, Handstamped Trinkets by Holly, Henry Coffee, Ison Crafts, Jewelry by MM, Mike’s Plants, Munchie Man, Off the Hook, Rhodia’s Crafts, Saving Grace, Seam’s Sew Magic, St. Petersburg Crafts, Timber and Threads, Triple E Goats & Soaps, and Wings by Pam.

Local organizations like Piney Rail Riders and the Perry Township Historical Society were on hand with informational booths, connecting with community members and sharing their missions.

Attendees had the chance to explore both the Car Show at Park Hill First Church of God and the Tractor Show at the ball field. Meanwhile, live music from “Special K’s” and “Weckerly’s” filled the air, along with the sounds of bingo fun at the firehall. Local photographers showcased their work, and guests were invited to vote for their favorites.

The second annual “Wiener Dog Race” was a big hit again this year, featuring both a wiener and non-wiener dog division. Congratulations to this year’s champion weenie, Frankie! Other fun contests included “Best Wiggle” and “Most Unusual.”

A vaccine clinic was available, and Balanced Buddha Purrs & Peace brought adorable, adoptable kitties. Wally’s Barkin’ Bakery had treats for furry friends, while Meows and Manis offered pet grooming trims.

The Kid Zone was bursting with energy and excitement. Special guest Bluey made the journey from Australia to host two meet-and-greets with over 150 kids, taking countless pictures and even helping one guest celebrate a birthday!

A bounce house kept the kids active, while free face painting provided by the A-C Valley High School Art Club offered a creative break. Families also enjoyed “train rides” around the park.

A crowd favorite, the Chinese Auction, featured an impressive 119 items, both large and small.
