Pistorius Edges Strauser For Foxburg Country Club's 2025 Championship

In a classic battle of former champions, Logan Pistorius (2024) defeated Bill Strauser (2004) in the 27-hole match play Final of this year’s Foxburg CC tournament. Logan is the first player in five years to successfully defend his title.

The Final match was highlighted by some excellent golf by both players. After a slow start, after which he found himself two down, Strauser reeled off three consecutive birdies to take the front-nine lead. Pistorius rallied the middle nine and went up two after 18, then increased the lead to three on the final nine with a birdie on the twenty-third hole of the match (# 5 at Foxburg)

The match ended on the twenty-sixth hole (# 8), where Logan Pistorius claimed a 3 and 1 victory to become the 2025 Foxburg Country Club Champion.

Foxburg CC is winding down its 138th year. It has been recognized by the U.S. Congress as the Oldest Golf Course in Continuous Use in the United States. 

The club is scheduled to close for the season on October 31st. Plenty of golf at reasonable rates on the historic course is available in October.
