Dishes flavored with herbs are more often the featured items on restaurant menus today. Growing herbs in your kitchen window or garden has become of interest to folks, but then what do you do with the herbs?
Come to Scrubgrass Grange on Tuesday, June 20th at 7 pm, to learn about growing your own herbs and some ideas to use them in your home cooking. Several samples of foods (and a drink) made using herbs will be available for taste testing. Samples of herbs will be given as door prizes.
Presenting the program are Susan Coursan, PSU Master Gardener, and Maxine Sullivan, who attended Johnson and Wales Culinary School. Scrubgrass Grange is sponsoring this event as part of our Talking Tuesday Programs on topics of local interest. The programs are open to the public and free of charge. The July 18th program topic will be the ACV Development Corporation.
Scrbgrass Grange is located at 5104 Emlenton-Clintonville Rd., Emlenton, PA. 16273.
