Wildlife Rehabilitation on September 10
CLARION, Pennsylvania: Has this ever happened to you? You’re hiking, driving, biking, or just out in your backyard, and you see what seems to be an injured bird or animal. Your heart lurches with a desire to help. But how? What is the right thing to do?
Join Melissa Goodwill from Tamarack Wildlife Center in Saegertown PA for an informative presentation about how to tell if wildlife are in need of help, who to contact, and what happens once an animal enters treatment at a licensed facility. The program will be held at the Clarion Free Library, 644 Main Street, Clarion PA, beginning at 6:30 PM.
Melissa officially joined the Tamarack staff as Outreach and Education Coordinator in the summer of 2022. A nature lover since her childhood, Melissa holds a BS degree from Allegheny College in Environmental Science and completed a double master program at Slippery Rock University, receiving an ME in Environmental Education and an MS in Parks and Resource Management. Melissa gained experience working for the National Park Service, Pennsylvania’s DCNR at Presque Isle State Park, and Asbury Woods in Erie, PA.
Seneca Rocks Audubon Society will be collecting donations during the program for the good work that Tamarack does. Donations can be in the form of cash, checks or supplies. The organization has a Wish List that can be found at https://tamarackwildlife.org/wishlist-2/.
