Keystone Fly Fishers will be offering a beginner fly tying class starting on January 17 at 6:30 PM. The class will be held at the Emerging Technology Center, 191 Howard Street, Franklin.
Participants will tie for 2-2 1/2 hours each Wednesday evening January 17 thru Feb. 7. All fly tying tools will be provided to use (individuals may bring their own tools if available) and all materials will be provided with individual instruction. The class will be limited to 8 individuals and anyone ages 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult. All four classes will be provided at a cost of $40.00 total. We have a few fly tying tool kits available for sale, at an additional cost of $20.00 on a first come, first serve basis.
Keystone Fly Fishers will then offer an intermediate class beginning on February 21, same time and location, and will run through March 12; four Wednesday evenings. The cost for this class will be $50.00 total. This class will be designed around matching the local NW PA hatches, Mayflies, Caddisflies, Stoneflies, etc. Participants should have their own fly tying tools and Keystone Fly Fishers will provide the materials.
