Butler VA Flu Clinics
BUTLER, Pa. — The Butler VA Health Care System will begin offering seasonal flu vaccination clinics for Veterans on Tuesday, September 15, providing convenient, no appointment access to this important preventive health service. All individuals who have served in the U.S. Military are eligible to receive a flu shot through the Butler VA at no cost.
Spouses, dependents, and family members who did not serve in the U.S. Military are not eligible for flu vaccination through VA clinics.
Flu shots will be available at all 2026 clinic locations, during scheduled Primary Care Provider (PCP) visits, and through the Walk in Clinic at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center, 353 North Duffy Road, Butler, PA. A complete listing of the 2026 flu clinics can be found at: https://www.va.gov/butler-health-care/events/. Questions concerning flu clinics can be directed to Sharon Boyle, Administrative Assistant to the Associate Director of Patient Care Services, at 878-271-6672.
“Preventive care is one of the most effective ways we can support the long term health and well-being of our Veterans,” said Sharon Coyle, Director. “Getting a flu shot protects you, protects your community, and strengthens the health care system that serves all who have worn the uniform.”
Enrollment Encouraged for Non Enrolled Veterans
Veterans not currently enrolled in the Butler VA Health Care System are encouraged to use their flu shot visit as an opportunity to enroll. To begin the process, Veterans may call 878 271 6645 to request an application by mail. When Veterans choose VA for their health care, they help ensure the system’s continued strength and availability for future generations of Veterans.
Veterans already enrolled in the Butler VA Health Care System who have not seen their Primary Care Provider in over one year are encouraged to request a PCP appointment when receiving their flu shot.
