Hike For Literacy Support North Trails Public Library – Libraries Change Lives!

If you’re a lover of Libraries & Nature then the North Country Trails Public Library’s “Hike For Literacy” is for you. The event will be during “Earth Week” from April 22—30.

Join us on the trail, excluding State Game Lands #95 per Pennsylvania Law, which prohibits fundraising on any State Game Lands. Visit this interactive map on line to view the North Country Trail. You can Email: but@northcountrytrail.org or call the library with questions.

Just follow the “Blue Blazes” and let them do their magic!

The event is coordinated by the North Country Trail Butler County Chapter, and Friends of the North Trails Public Library.

What you need to do is to register as an individual or group at the link below or stop by the library. Registration is $10 per person or $25 for groups of 3 or more. Hit the NCT anytime from April 22—30, for any distance, excluding PA Game Lands.

Be sure to pick up your Hikers Pack at the Library. (While supplies last)

Hike Rules: If hiking alone, tell a friend where you’ll be. Bring water and snacks and pack out all trash.

Wear sturdy shoes, protective & visible clothing, and bring bug spray. Stay on the trail and follow the Blue Blazes.
