Samuel Darl Morrison

Samuel Darl Morrison, of Worthington, passed away after a wonderful life on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Born October 11, 1936, he was the son of the late Samuel and Ada (Bowser) Morrison.

Darl was a 1955 graduate of Redbank Valley, where he made many lifelong friends. He retired after forty-plus years as the General Superintendent of Glacial Sand and Gravel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marian, who he married on April 28, 1956. He is also survived by his daughter, Terri (Jim), of Parker, Pa; son, Douglas (Laurie) of Orlando, FL; granddaughter, Lynzee (Brett), of Louisville, KY; grandson, Justin (Jillian), of Oviedo, FL; and great-grandsons, Parker, Griffin, Zeke and Ori. Also surviving are his brothers, Dave (Elaine), Ralph (Kathy), Larry (Judy); and sister, Vickie.

Darl was a member of the Masonic Lodge #521, the Syria Shriners, the Worthington Lions, and the Kittanning Elks. He was also an active member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church. He was a terrific role model both personally and professionally to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid music lover who also loved a good round of golf, however, his greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Donations in Darl’s memory may be made to a church of one’s choice or to the American Cancer Society.
