With a flair for the wild and unexpected, the genre-smashing, virtuosic trio, TAKE3, will bring the refinement of their rigorous classical music backgrounds and infuse it with rock-star charisma performing an eclectic, cross-over program of music which they describe as “where Bach and Bieber collide” - in Lincoln Hall on Saturday, October 8, at 7:30 PM, on the eve of The Foxburg Fall Festival.
This busy and widely traveled group on the touring circuit is performing more than 60 concerts across America in their nine-month “On the Road Again” tour, visiting Performing Arts Centers and appearing with orchestras in most of the 50 states this season. ARCA is proud to be welcoming them to Lincoln Hall to perform for its enthusiastic classical and popular music audiences.
Trained at the world’s top music conservatories, TAKE3 has expanded their repertoire from Bach and Beethoven to Leonard Cohen and The Beach Boys. The Nevada Sagebrush says of TAKE3 ”…. this group gave us a tremendous night of undisputed talent from some of the most passionate musicians around.” This dynamic and charismatic threesome will captivate ARCA’s Lincoln Hall audience performing their arrangements of top Pop hits, Oldies, Americana, and their signature Classical Mashups – and everything in between, including classical favorites.
TAKE3 imparts their love, passion and joy in music making to all who hear them, using their artistic ability as a conduit for musical storytelling in high-energy performances of works ranging from the Beatles’ Yesterday and Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah to Game of Thrones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Amazing Grace and Stand by Me.
Known for its infectious and down-to-earth personalities on stage, the trio performs with virtuosic instrumental cross-genre “chops” – and TAKE3’s interactive lighting shows, comedic stories of their journey from scales in conservatory practice rooms to pop music in packed stadiums, come together in unforgettable experiences that have fired up concert goers all over the nation from California and Oregon to New York, South Carolina, Virginia and New Hampshire.
No strangers to the stage as individuals, TAKE3 musicians have made an impact on the music scene as soloists, touring the world with Yanni, recording tracks for film and television and as soloists in front of Symphony Orchestras across the country. Violinist Lindsay Deutsch can be heard throughout Netflix’s popular series “The Witcher” and the Hulu series All About Pam, both of which SONY soundtracks reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts and received millions of streams world-wide.
Plan to arrive early in Foxburg on October 8 to take in two events at the Red Brick Gallery and Gift Shop at 17 Main Street open from 11 AM to 7 PM: In the Upstairs Gallery, the stained-glass exhibit of Cooperative Artist Jeffrey Calta entitled “The Dark Exhibit” and the Trunk Show of Cooperative Artist Nissa Rappaport, featuring women’s clothing and accessories from 2 to 7 PM with a mimosa reception.
Jeffrey Calta, a retired chemist/production supervisor after a career of 42 years with the Sonneborn facility in Petrolia, PA, has been fascinated with leaded (stained) glass most of his life. His presentation will feature ten leaded glass works displayed in a uniquely lit “dark” environment created in the Upstairs Gallery for this exhibit.
Nissa Rapport will be showcasing her passion for fashion as art; much of her work focuses on taking vintage styles and adapting them with modern and artistic twists. She is the creative designer behind The Gilded Troll, a women’s clothing and accessories company that matches elegance and whimsy in equal measure. Working in the fashion industry since 2005 and cutting her teeth at Disney designing costuming, Nissa has dual degrees in fashion design from Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and Ursuline college in Cleveland, specializing in evening wear.
