Win a Patriotic Wall Hanging Quilt

The A-C Valley Hometown Hero Banner committee will be soon wrapping up their quilt raffle on Thursday, September 10, 2026. A winner will be drawn at 6:00 PM. Anyone who would like to purchase a ticket can still do so at the following locations; Amazing Stitches, The Progress News, Parker county Market, Parker VFW and Holy Sundae.

Tickets are $10.00 each and 3 for $25.00.

All Proceeds Benefit the A-C Valley Hometown Hero Banner Project.

The community of Emlenton has updated all of the old deteriorating banners in the past two years thanks to individual support and grants from the generosity of those managing the Kerr and Sutton funds.

Parker has about 25 more banners to update, which we are still working towards.

The next big push will be to replace all of the hardware in which the banners hang on because due to their age, the banners sag and twist more easily now. The intense winds through the valley also do not benefit them.

The quilt is 116” x 116” and made by Dixie Gordon and Sally Byers.
